Reflecting on Achievements, A View on What’s Ahead: GBTA Town Hall
By Denise Truso, President, GBTA Board of Directors
It’s been a whirlwind of a year – for our industry, the association, and for many, in our own lives. Through it all, we have continued to come together around the world to support each other as a global business travel community even as we move through ongoing change.
As we near the end of 2022, we invite you to come together again for our year-end virtual GBTA Board of Directors Town Hall on December 1, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM ET, where we’ll give updates and reflect on our association’s present and future initiatives.
The ongoing mission of the GBTA Board of Directors is to establish the focus and direction of the association. During this Town Hall, I’ll be sharing a high-level look at what we are prioritizing as a Board, and you’ll also hear updates on key GBTA activities from other Board members:
- Mark Cuschieri, recapping our successful, first-ever Sustainability Summit in Brussels
- Maria Chevalier, providing an overview on Membership strategies
- Sharlene Ketwaroo-Nanoo, updating on education and Academy priorities
- Sue Spears, outlining the work and achievements of several Volunteer initiatives
- Rosemary Maloney, sharing some key accomplishments and initiatives within Advocacy
And as always, we want to hear from you during the Q&A session.
So many of you made this a memorable year for GBTA – a year of continued recovery and evolution even among the challenges… a year of firsts and trying new approaches… and a year where we worked together on what matters most for people, the planet and our industry’s future. We extend a big thank you to our GBTA members, staff and industry partners and friends for your expertise, commitment and accomplishments over the past 12 months.
Many opportunities are ahead. GBTA is here to foster professional growth for our members throughout their careers, bring GBTA value to more regions and people around the world, and attract and foster our industry talent, while continuing to create the future with thought leadership and learning.
We look forward to seeing you (virtually) at the GBTA Town Hall on December 1st. Let’s recognize and celebrate the many voices of the GBTA global community once more as a perfect ending to 2022.
Wishing you all a very happy holiday season ahead.
Denise Denise Truso
President, GBTA Board of Directors
