Check-In With Suzanne
Travel, Human Connection and Making the World a Better Place
This week I am taking time off to celebrate with my family one of the most important annual holidays for any American: Thanksgiving. It is a holiday squarely centered on gratitude.
With only our 2022 APAC event left to go Dec. 8-9 in Bangkok, and thus the year nearly wrapped up and in the “rear view mirror,” there is so much I am grateful for at GBTA:
- - The ongoing evolution of the association, ensuring we will continue to serve those who serve the global business travel industry
- - The meaningful priorities and vast array of projects we delivered, which have provided impact and value for the entire industry moving through recovery
- - Our volunteers, who power and empower members and the industry, including the support and expert guidance of our Boards, Committees and Councils
- - The active, cross-border teamwork and can-do spirit of our GBTA staff and leaders who bring their best to work every day to enable us to achieve so much for all of you
As I reflect on what matters most about what we all do every day in and for our industry, I can’t help but turn a bit poetic. I was inspired to sum up our industry and our place within it with this haiku:
- Human connection
- Enabled by work travel…
- ...The world a better place
Wishing all of you much to be thankful for -- at home, at work, at peace.
All the best,
Suzanne
