Yesterday GBTA virtually held its Annual Business Meeting where the association showcased key highlights for last year. This included association strategy and financials for fiscal year 2023 and milestones across priority areas such as education, events, advocacy and the GBTA Foundation, while also outlining what’s ahead for the rest of 2024.
“Financially, GBTA had an extraordinary year. Our annual convention along with our events and offerings globally performed extremely well as we continued to grow and expand in other regions. We also held a tight rein on expenses to ensure healthy reserves,” said Suzanne Neufang, CEO, GBTA.
Board President, Mark Cuschieri, announced the results of the GBTA Board of Directors Election and bylaw amendment proposal. The elections process began in May and ended June 25th when voting closed. GBTA members worldwide could vote for six open board seats.

Additionally, GBTA voters approved the bylaw amendment to expand the permanent composition of the GBTA Board by two voting Direct seats for Latin America and Asia Pacific.
