GBTA Convention 2024: Record Forecast and Positive Future for Business Travel and Education, Connection and Inspiration for Industry Professionals
The world’s largest gathering of the global business travel industry transcended travel disruption challenges to host 5,400 global delegates from 50 countries for the GBTA Convention 2024 in Atlanta, July 22-24. More than 1,100 travel buyers from 600+ companies and 310 travel supplier exhibitors attended the not-to-be-missed event featuring 200+ dynamic presenters, 86 peer-reviewed education sessions, unmatched networking opportunities and the unveiling of the latest forecast ahead for global business travel.
“The GBTA Convention offers a unique opportunity for industry professionals to learn, network and experience the very best the global business travel community has to offer − and this year was no exception. This week was also a testament to the ongoing importance, in general, of managed travel programs and their support systems, as we felt the industry’s resilience for ourselves in navigating the global IT system disruption in order to come together in Atlanta,” said Suzanne Neufang, CEO, GBTA.
Focus areas for the convention aligned with what’s affecting the sector and its professionals most, including the state of the industry, understanding human behavior, innovating for transformation, solving sustainability challenges and looking to the future of business travel.
GBTA unveiled the 2024 GBTA Business Travel Index Outlook – Annual Global Report and Forecast (“GBTA BTI™”) report made possible by Visa which pointed to post-pandemic stabilization and record spending levels.
During the event, GBTA also honored a group of outstanding volunteers who lead the way in furthering the mission of both the association and the industry as a whole.
GBTA Convention 2025 will be held in Denver, Colorado, July 23-25, and Chicago is the destination for Convention 2026, scheduled for August 3-5.
