Together Again: GBTA Kicks Off Convention 2022
It was time to “Re-Connect, Re-Imagine and Re-Create" as the global business travel industry gathers for GBTA Convention 2022. Over 4,500 registered attendees including 1,000 travel buyers, 250+ exhibitors and 550 buyer companies will converge on San Diego over the next few days to create what’s next together for the global business travel industry.
Yesterday started with an invigorating 5K Run/Walk and also First Time Attendee Orientation. There was not a seat to be had at the WINiT Summit, an event specifically designed to engage, inspire and challenge professionals of all levels with the sole mission to positively ignite the careers and lives of women in travel-related industries.
GBTA unveiled its first-ever Sustainability Pavilion and began hosting engaging Green Talks on key sustainability topics for travel buyers and suppliers and featured sustainability experts in the Green Village exhibition space. The Green Stage at the Pavilion was also the location for GBTA Media Day, featuring presentations from 16 companies who chose Convention to issue their breaking news for the business travel industry.
