GBTA Elections
GBTA Welcomes Newly Elected Board Members
At the GBTA Convention yesterday, the association announced the results for three Board seats up for election along with bylaws for approval. The newly elected Board members who will begin to serve immediately for a two-year term are:
Direct Seat, Director-At-Large
- Barbara Rose, Americas Travel, M&E Lead, Ernst and Young
Direct Seat, Director-At-Large
- Sue Spear, Travel and Fleet Manager, Cengage Learning
Allied Seat, Director-At-Large
- Kevin Sullivan, Senior Director of Sales, Southwest Airlines
Additionally, the bylaw changes up for review were approved.
The elections process for 2022 began on May 26 as candidate submissions were received. Voting took place from July 26 through August 15, 2pm Pacific time. For only the second time, this year all Direct and Allied members could vote for both categories of open seats.

We appreciate all who stepped forward to participate in this very important process -- from the 11 Board candidates who ran, to the 10-person Bylaw Review Task Force, and of course, to those of you who voted online. On behalf of the GBTA Board of Directors, congratulations to our newly elected members and thank you to all who participated in the GBTA electoral process,” said Denise Truso, Board President, GBTA.
