Hoy aprendemos m\u00e1s sobre el pasado de la Asociaci\u00f3n y c\u00f3mo era la NPTA durante la d\u00e9cada de 1970.<\/p>\n<p>Lo dejamos cuando la Asociaci\u00f3n Nacional de Tr\u00e1fico de Pasajeros seleccion\u00f3 Bronxville, Nueva York, como su sede nacional en 1970. Un informe del NPTA de 1972, <em>Una presentaci\u00f3n de hechos relacionados con el mercado de viajes de negocios<\/em>, se proporcion\u00f3 a la direcci\u00f3n de la aerol\u00ednea con la esperanza de que tomaran medidas sobre la enmienda del NPTA a la Resoluci\u00f3n 80, que iba a ser revisada por la Conferencia de Tr\u00e1fico A\u00e9reo. La propuesta de la NPTA ped\u00eda una enmienda de la Resoluci\u00f3n 80 para prever la calificaci\u00f3n del departamento de viajes de negocios como agente de viajes de forma limitada.<\/p>\n<p>Al luchar por este cambio, la NPTA no busc\u00f3 perjudicar a la industria a\u00e9rea, diciendo: \u201cQueremos que las aerol\u00edneas y todos los dem\u00e1s segmentos de la industria de viajes operen en un entorno que les permita rentabilidad. Hoy en d\u00eda es necesario un sistema de transporte a\u00e9reo fuerte, viable y econ\u00f3micamente s\u00f3lido para llevar a cabo con \u00e9xito los negocios\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>El informe tambi\u00e9n incluy\u00f3 estos principios sobre los cuales se form\u00f3 el NPTA:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/Portals\/0\/1972%20NPTA%20Report.PNG\" style=\"width: 507px; height: 208px;\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>La NPTA dio un gran paso en 1973 cuando vot\u00f3 para admitir a los proveedores de viajes entre sus miembros. A\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde, Roger Solomon, presidente del Allied Council en 1988, dir\u00eda que esto demostr\u00f3 que la NPTA \u201creconoce que tanto los compradores como los proveedores representan un conjunto complejo de requisitos que deben satisfacerse en el curso diario de los negocios\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>La desregulaci\u00f3n de las aerol\u00edneas fue quiz\u00e1s el mayor hito de la industria de la d\u00e9cada de 1970 que solidific\u00f3 el valor de la gesti\u00f3n de viajes corporativos.
