La siguiente declaraci\u00f3n puede atribuirse a Michael W. McCormick, director ejecutivo y director de operaciones de GBTA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLa modernizaci\u00f3n del control del tr\u00e1fico a\u00e9reo de nuestra naci\u00f3n deber\u00eda ser una parte integral de la reautorizaci\u00f3n de la FAA. El control del tr\u00e1fico a\u00e9reo es de suma importancia para facilitar la seguridad de los viajes. No se puede permitir que contin\u00fae el status quo. Existe un acuerdo casi universal sobre los desaf\u00edos que enfrenta el control del tr\u00e1fico a\u00e9reo en la actualidad. La tecnolog\u00eda obsoleta, las normas burocr\u00e1ticas de adquisiciones, los d\u00e9ficits presupuestarios y la pol\u00edtica siguen plagando el control del tr\u00e1fico a\u00e9reo. La creaci\u00f3n de una corporaci\u00f3n sin fines de lucro para supervisar el control del tr\u00e1fico a\u00e9reo, en teor\u00eda, ofrece una soluci\u00f3n a esos desaf\u00edos. El Comit\u00e9 deber\u00eda considerar la propuesta del Presidente o buscar seriamente otras soluciones para resolver los problemas que incluyen las preocupaciones de los viajeros de negocios.
