Trump signed into law the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/119th-congress\/house-bill\/1\/text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reconciliation Bill<\/a>, otherwise known as the \u201cOne Big Beautiful Bill Act\u201d which is a budget reconciliation law passed by the 119th United States Congress and includes tax and spending policies. The Global Business Travel Association (<a href=\"https:\/\/gbta.org\/es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GBTA<\/a>) is pleased to see items it had advocated for included in the final bill signed into law. \u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>GBTA has worked closely with policymakers to put in place measures to strengthen the efficiency and safety of U.S. and international inbound business travel and sees these policies as positive and a necessary step forward. \u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>The new law delivers on these GBTA advocacy priorities for business travel, as <a href=\"https:\/\/gbta.org\/es\/gbta-brings-industry-voices-to-capitol-hill-to-champion-business-travels-value-and-future\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recently shared<\/a> with U.S. policymakers:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/gbta.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Modern-Skies-Coalition-Supports-Secretary-Duffys-ATC-Modernization-Plan-05.08.25-2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>The modernization of the air traffic system<\/strong><\/a>: $12.5 billion included as a first step to address the nation\u2019s outdated Air Traffic Control (ATC) system.<br><\/li><br>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/gbta.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Improving-Business-Travel-at-the-Border.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Improved business travel at U.S. borders<\/strong><\/a>: $4.1 billion allocated for additional Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Personnel, including 5,000 CBP Officers.<br><\/li><br>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/gbta.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Improving-Business-Travel-at-the-Border.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Additional resources for CBP\u2019s implementation<\/strong><\/a><strong> of the Entry and Exit<\/strong> <strong>Programa<\/strong> to accelerate the safe facilitation of business travelers at the nation\u2019s points of entry \u2013 namely, $673 million for the further deployment of a biometric entry and exit system.\u00a0<br><\/li><br>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/gbta.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Sustainable-Aviation-Fuel-All-of-the-Above.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Extension of the Clean Fuel Production Credit<\/strong><\/a><strong> (45Z) through 2031<\/strong> to encourage the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). <\/li><br>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>GBTA will continue to advocate for the effective implementation of these policies to ensure that business travelers feel safe and secure when traveling into, within and out of the U.S. and to help ensure that global travel facilitation is streamlined.\u00a0\u00a0<br><br>Business travel delivers essential value to economies, companies and individuals who need to travel for work.
