This recognition celebrates the Foundation&#8217;s dedication and success in generating positive outcomes through its pioneering sustainable procurement tools and standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The GBTA Foundation\u2019s work to embed sustainability into an industry with <a href=\"https:\/\/gbta.org\/es\/global-business-travel-spending-to-reach-1-57-trillion-in-2025-amid-trade-policy-uncertainty-and-economic-risk-according-to-new-gbta-forecast\/\">$1.57 trillion in purchasing power<\/a> culminated in 2024 with the release of the <a href=\"https:\/\/gbtafoundation.org\/publications\/sustainable-procurement-standards\/\">Normas de adquisiciones sostenibles de GBTA<\/a>, which enable corporate travel buyers to consistently assess suppliers\u2019 sustainability efforts. Developed in collaboration with GBTA <a href=\"https:\/\/gbtafoundation.org\/planet\/sustainability\/partners\/\">Socios de sostenibilidad<\/a> y <a href=\"https:\/\/gbta.org\/es\/sustainability-committee\/\">Comit\u00e9 de Sostenibilidad<\/a>, the standards were vetted by more than 50 companies (buying organizations and travel suppliers like airlines, hotels, and car rental companies), as well as standard setters such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iata.org\/\">Asociaci\u00f3n Internacional de Transporte A\u00e9reo<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/travalyst.org\/\">viajelista<\/a> y el <a href=\"https:\/\/sustainablehospitalityalliance.org\/\">World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/gbta.org\/es\/corporations-stay-the-course-on-sustainable-business-travel-but-struggle-to-progress-in-high-impact-areas-according-to-global-benchmark\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/gbta.org\/corporations-stay-the-course-on-sustainable-business-travel-but-struggle-to-progress-in-high-impact-areas-according-to-global-benchmark\/\">latest GBTA Sustainability Acceleration Challenge global benchmark<\/a>, announced on November 10, 38% of companies say they consider climate criteria in supplier selection, and in 2026, the GBTA Foundation will be releasing a suite of practical tools to aid in their analysis. This will include case studies and scorecard templates which will allow buyers to make sustainable and data-driven decisions in procurement.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re proud to be recognized by SPLC, a respected leader in sustainable procurement,\u201d said Kelsey Frenkiel, Director of Sustainability at the GBTA Foundation. \u201cThis recognition reinforces our conviction that strong collaboration across the travel supply chain can lead to meaningful transformation.
