DESCRIPTION:November’s monthly meeting will be focusing on strategic supplier partnerships discussing upcoming 2025 contracts and projects. \nWe excited to announce our TMC Panelist \nLindsay Straub\nGlobal Head of Sales\nFCM Travel \nLindsay is a dynamic sales and people leader with a focus on enhancing corporate travel programs\, growth and customer acquisition. She brings more than 15 years of experience in corporate travel to her role at FCM where she oversees the company’s global sales strategy through key initiatives and innovative solutions. Prior to joining FCM in April 2024\, she served as Vice President of Sales for the BTN Group (Business Travel News)\, managing a diverse portfolio of B2B media and event products. Lindsay is a member of the GBTA Ladders Advisory Board and was named to GBTA WINiT’s ‘Top 50 Women in Travel’ in 2022. \nAdditionally\, we are excited to announce our Hotel Panelist \nBryan Everly\nAccount Director\nIHG Hotels & Resorts \nBryan is a dynamic hospitality professional with a passion for uncovering\, securing\, and growing revenue through strategic alignment and building long-lasting client relationships. With a deep commitment to mentoring and fostering collaboration\, he takes pride in helping others achieve their goals and dreams\, driven by integrity\, authenticity\, and passion. \nBryan began his career as a front desk agent. His hospitality journey truly took flight when he moved to San Francisco and joined Kimpton Hotels; spending 14 years there and selling multiple properties. His career has also taken him to Palm Springs and later to Seattle\, where he was the Director of Sales and Marketing for The Sound Hotel\, overseeing its opening\, closing\, and reopening for nearly six years. \nIn March 2024\, Bryan fulfilled a career aspiration by joining Global Sales with IHG Hotels & Resorts\, where he continues to thrive in supporting clients and growing IHG’s footprint.\nAnd our wonderful Airline Panelist \nToni Freeberg\nManaging Director\, Corporate Sales\nAlaska Airlines \nToni Freeberg serves as managing director of sales for Alaska Airlines. In this role\, Freeberg establishes strategic goals and direction to\nacquire new business\, drive innovative sales solutions and experiences\, and increase revenue through corporate partners\, travel management companies\nand small business programs. She provides the vision\, structure and design of the sales and analytical process and drives synergies to support our\noneworld alliance initiatives. Additionally\, she works with corporate customers to create partnerships that reduce the climate impact of corporate\nbusiness travel. \nA 37-year airline veteran\, Freeberg rose through the ranks at Alaska\, holding a variety of positions of increasing responsibility\, most recently as\ndirector of business transformation\, where she led the seamless integration into oneworld. Before that\, Freeberg helped lead the successful\nintegration of the Alaska and Virgin America passenger service systems. She has also held a variety of leadership roles focused on national accounts\,\nalliance sales and call center support. For over three decades\, she has also volunteered to lead Alaska’s Compassionate Assistance Relief Effort\, which is\npart of the airline’s emergency response and preparedness team. Freeberg is the recipient of Alaska Airlines highest honor – the Customer\nService Legend Award. SUMMARY:Maximising Duty of Care: Choosing Your Safest “Last Mile” Option for Business Travel
DESCRIPTION:As business travel adapts to shifting economic conditions\, managed travel programmes must revise their policies to align with corporate objectives while addressing employee needs. GBTA\, in partnership with FREENOW for Business\, will present key findings from a recent survey of business travellers and travel managers across several European countries. This study examines the “last mile” duty of care—the final segment of a journey from a transportation hub to the destination—in four markets: Germany\, the United Kingdom\, Ireland\, and Spain. The webinar will address: \n• Corporate policies and challenges related to ground transport\n• Perceptions of how ground transport affects traveller safety\n• Preferences and views of business travellers regarding ground transport and last mile duty of care \n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\nThis information will be particularly valuable for both buyers and suppliers. The webinar will provide insights into the changing landscape of ground transport safety\, the role of sustainability in the mobility ecosystem\, and how business travellers and travel managers perceive transportation options\, particularly concerning last mile transport. \n\nMark Sharoff\, Senior Research Manager\, GBTA \nMark Sharoff is a Senior Research Manager at GBTA\, responsible for researching and writing reports on a variety of industry topics. He has been with GBTA since 2014. He holds a Master’s degree from Georgetown University and a B.A. from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma\, WA.
