DESCRIPTION:Please join us on Wednesday\, November 13th\, at the Milwaukee Marriott Downtown to learn about Sustainability in Business Travel! \nAccording to Earth.org\, the average US consumer throws away 81.5 lbs of clothes each year! GBTA | WI would like to help reduce the amount of textiles ending up in landfills\, so we have teamed up with The Milwaukee Ladies of Charity for a children’s clothing drive. Please bring new or gently used clothing for ages 3 to 18 and all adult sizes (for high school students) to our meeting. You will receive a raffle ticket for a drawing for every article donated. \nREMEMBER….don’t forget to bring your favorite water bottle in support of sustainability! \nWe are thrilled to welcome Marianne Balfe\, Vice-President of Sustainability at Highgate\, as our Guest Speaker! \nWe will also have a presentation from Delta Air Lines\, Henry Barrera\, on Sustainable Aviation Fuels. \nMeeting Agenda:\n10:00 am – 10:15 am Registration for Direct Members\n10:15 am – 11:15 am Direct (Travel Buyer) Session\n11:15 am – 12:00 pm Registration for all members +\nNetworking\n12:00 pm – 1:00 pm Lunch + Intro to Reflo\n1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Chapter Meeting\n3:00 pm – ?? Participants will brainstorm ideas and will be complied to be shared with their companies and travelers. \nWe will be having a children’s clothing donation drive at our meeting to donate to the Milwaukee Ladies of Charity. \nWe will have Sustainability Jeopardy-with prizes of water bottles for the winners! \nFollowing the in person Direct Session\, we will have registration\, lunch\, business chapter meeting\, activity with Urban Ecology\, and the main speaker. \nWe will also have a hotel tour to highlight their sustainability efforts with the Marriott Brand. After the tour we will have drinks and networking in the East Town Kitchen and Bar.
