SUMMARY:2025 CWT GBTA Global Business Pricing Forecast: The Great Pricing Moderation
DESCRIPTION:Global business travel and event prices are showing signs of stabilization after significant increases in recent years. The 2025 Global Business Travel Forecast\, published by CWT and GBTA\, finds that while costs will still rise\, the rate of increase will slow considerably throughout 2024 and into 2025. This shift presents businesses with a more predictable pricing landscape in the coming years\, facilitating improved budget planning and cost management. \nThis year also marks the 10th Anniversary of the Global Business Travel Forecast\, prompting CWT and GBTA to release a special supplement to the report. This supplement explores three potential scenarios for the future of business travel—Base\, Boom\, and Bust—through 2040. It examines how significant megatrends\, including technological advancements\, demographic shifts\, sustainability imperatives\, and geopolitical volatility\, will influence the perception\, management\, and experience of business travel in each of these scenarios. \nJoin us for an insightful webinar where you can explore the forecast for the hotel\, air\, ground\, and meetings and events sectors\, as well as gain foresight into what the business travel landscape may look like in 2040. \nSpeakers: \n\nRich Johnson\, Vice President\, Global Head of Consulting Services\, CWT \n\nDr. Shawn Dubravac\, CEO and President\, Avrio Institute \nDate: Dec. 4\, 2024\nStart time: 11am EST\nEnd time: 12pm EST \nLocation: Webinar \nSponsor:

SUMMARY:Maximising Duty of Care: Choosing Your Safest “Last Mile” Option for Business Travel
DESCRIPTION:As business travel adapts to shifting economic conditions\, managed travel programmes must revise their policies to align with corporate objectives while addressing employee needs. GBTA\, in partnership with FREENOW for Business\, will present key findings from a recent survey of business travellers and travel managers across several European countries. This study examines the “last mile” duty of care—the final segment of a journey from a transportation hub to the destination—in four markets: Germany\, the United Kingdom\, Ireland\, and Spain. The webinar will address: \n• Corporate policies and challenges related to ground transport\n• Perceptions of how ground transport affects traveller safety\n• Preferences and views of business travellers regarding ground transport and last mile duty of care \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nThis information will be particularly valuable for both buyers and suppliers. The webinar will provide insights into the changing landscape of ground transport safety\, the role of sustainability in the mobility ecosystem\, and how business travellers and travel managers perceive transportation options\, particularly concerning last mile transport. \n\nMark Sharoff\, Senior Research Manager\, GBTA \nMark Sharoff is a Senior Research Manager at GBTA\, responsible for researching and writing reports on a variety of industry topics. DESCRIPTION:Even as the COVID-19 pandemic has ended\, Travel Risk Management (TRM) remains a priority in the business travel industry. This webinar combines GBTA research results with commentary from a TRM expert\, Ray Rackham\, SVP\, Thought Leadership\, Advocacy & Public Policy from CIBT.

SUMMARY:Mitigating 2024 Corporate Hotel Rate Increases via Segment Convergence
DESCRIPTION:Timezone:\n11:00AM EDT \nLast year\, travel programs faced challenging hotel procurement scenarios – and 2023/24 promises to be no different. To mitigate rate increases and drive more symmetry and transparency in hotel relationships\, more buyers are using a convergence approach to hotel procurement. More programs are negotiating with hotels for multiple products\, segments and services (e.g.\, room nights\, meeting space\, room blocks\, or extended stay) at the same time to truly showcase their cumulative value. As per GBTA and HRS research issued this summer\, most travel managers (54 percent) think their company would achieve greater process or savings efficiencies via convergence\, while only one in 10 say they would not. \nThis webinar will feature timely commentary from a respected travel program leader and a prominent hotelier\, as well as fresh updates regarding negotiating trends for 2024 as the fourth quarter is underway. Join this engaging session to learn more about how your company can use convergence tactics to drive notable gains in data transparency\, process efficiencies\, and savings across your key segments. \nModerator: \n\nWill Pinnell\, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the Americas at HRS Group \nPanelists: \n\nMakiko Barrett\, Senior Director\, Procurement and Travel at Automation Anywhere \n\nShawn Parker\, Executive Director\, Strategic Accounts & Corporate Group Sales at Hilton Hotels & Resorts \nBased on GBTA research sponsored by HRS Group

SUMMARY:The Life and Times of a Travel Manager: Career Reflections and the Evolving Role
DESCRIPTION:Date: June 21\, 2023 – 11am ET \nThe COVID-19 pandemic underscored the vital role of the corporate travel manager. While company leaders and stakeholders gained newfound appreciation for travel managers\, there has been little examination or reflection about who travel managers are and how they themselves view their role.\nBased on GBTA-Cvent research conducted in North America and Europe\, this webinar will examine how travel managers feel about their role. It will examine a number of key topics including: \n\nCompensation: How much compensation do travel managers earn? Do travel managers expect to receive a significant raise this year?\nDemographics: What percentage of travel managers are women? What percentage are underrepresented racial or ethnic minorities? How did travel managers enter the field? How many have previously worked for travel suppliers?\nCareer reflections: Are travel managers happy with their career? Would they recommend becoming a travel manager? Do they find their work engaging? If they could go back in time\, would they still become a travel manager – or pursue a different path?\nHow travel programs are structured – and how this shapes the travel manager’s role: How many travel managers spend all of their time on travel-related issues – and how many have additional responsibilities beyond travel? Are travel managers “jack-of-all trades” who work on a variety of issues—such as hotel RFPs\, travel policy design\, and implementing technology. Or\, do they specialize in specific areas?\n\nSpeakers: \nKelli Kopec\, Senior Manager\, Product\, Cvent \nCarol Fergus\, Global Travel Manager\, Fidelity International \nMark Sharoff\, Research Manager\, GBTA \nMade Possible by
