Adopt\u00e9e ce week-end par la Chambre des repr\u00e9sentants, le S\u00e9nat et le pr\u00e9sident Biden, cette d\u00e9cision devrait donner \u00e0 la TSA une injection de fonds indispensable au cours de l&#039;exercice 2024 pour permettre l&#039;embauche de davantage de personnel et la mise \u00e0 niveau des \u00e9quipements afin d&#039;am\u00e9liorer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des voyageurs et de rationaliser les services.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 la suite des attentats du 11 septembre, le Congr\u00e8s avait \u00e9tabli des frais de $5,60 par vol ou de $11,20 par aller-retour sur tous les billets d&#039;avion achet\u00e9s pour aider \u00e0 compenser les co\u00fbts de la TSA alors nouvellement cr\u00e9\u00e9e. Cependant, en 2014, le Congr\u00e8s a vot\u00e9 pour allouer $,60 par vol sur les frais de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 $5,60 \u00e0 la r\u00e9duction du d\u00e9ficit f\u00e9d\u00e9ral, au moins jusqu&#039;en 2027. Cette disposition r\u00e9tablit l&#039;allocation $.60 \u00e0 la TSA.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La GBTA plaide depuis longtemps pour que ces frais soient r\u00e9tablis \u00e0 la TSA et consid\u00e8re cette nouvelle comme un avantage majeur pour l&#039;industrie du voyage d&#039;affaires et les voyageurs d&#039;affaires.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab Nos membres et notre industrie nous ont expliqu\u00e9 comment les voyages d&#039;affaires pourraient b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de plus de commodit\u00e9 et de coh\u00e9rence, et la TSA a fait face aux d\u00e9fis qui d\u00e9coulent du fait de devoir faire plus avec moins \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Suzanne Neufang, PDG de GBTA. \u00abCette r\u00e9affectation des fonds contribuera \u00e0 att\u00e9nuer davantage les frictions auxquelles la communaut\u00e9 des voyages d&#039;affaires est confront\u00e9e, et la GBTA continuera de plaider pour des transports a\u00e9riens, ferroviaires et routiers encore meilleurs et plus s\u00fbrs pour tous les voyageurs.\u00bb&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au cours de l&#039;exercice 2023, 1,5 milliard de $ ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9tourn\u00e9s de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 a\u00e9rienne (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhs.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/2022-03\/Transportation%20Security%20Administration_Remediated.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Budget du CST, p. 331<\/a>), et plus de $19 milliards au total devraient \u00eatre d\u00e9tourn\u00e9s d\u2019ici l\u2019exercice 2027 \u00e0 moins que la loi ne soit modifi\u00e9e.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un financement suppl\u00e9mentaire de $19,96 millions pour 150 agents suppl\u00e9mentaires des douanes et de la protection des fronti\u00e8res est inclus dans le paquet. De plus, des dispositions ont \u00e9t\u00e9 incluses pour encourager le D\u00e9partement de la S\u00e9curit\u00e9 int\u00e9rieure (DHS) \u00e0 envisager d&#039;ajouter davantage de sites de pr\u00e9contr\u00f4le, en mettant l&#039;accent sur la r\u00e9gion Indo-Pacifique, une zone d\u00e9finie comme s&#039;\u00e9tendant de la c\u00f4te Pacifique des \u00c9tats-Unis \u00e0 l&#039;oc\u00e9an Indien et qui englobe Asie du Nord-Est et du Sud-Est, Asie du Sud et Oc\u00e9anie, y compris les \u00eeles du Pacifique.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les participants de la GBTA et de l\u2019industrie du voyage d\u2019affaires \u00e0 ses sommets l\u00e9gislatifs am\u00e9ricains annuels r\u00e9clament depuis longtemps la fin du d\u00e9tournement des frais de s\u00e9curit\u00e9.
