En 1991, la National Business Travel Association (NBTA) a cr\u00e9\u00e9 le prix \u00ab Allied Member of the Year \u00bb, reconnaissant Roger Solomon de Suburban Lodges of America comme le premier laur\u00e9at.<\/p>\n<p>Quelques ann\u00e9es plus tard, en 1993, les grandes compagnies a\u00e9riennes n&#039;ont cess\u00e9 de faire volte-face quant \u00e0 l&#039;opportunit\u00e9 d&#039;accorder des r\u00e9ductions de prix bas\u00e9es sur le volume aux gestionnaires de voyages d&#039;affaires. <em>Nouvelles sur les voyages d&#039;affaires <\/em>rapporte que certaines compagnies a\u00e9riennes ont demand\u00e9 aux acheteurs de signer un NDA avant de n\u00e9gocier des r\u00e9ductions a\u00e9riennes avec elles. Au m\u00eame moment, le comit\u00e9 h\u00f4telier de la NBTA a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 simplifier le processus de soumission d&#039;offres h\u00f4teli\u00e8res en d\u00e9veloppant des documents standardis\u00e9s que les entreprises peuvent utiliser lors de leurs demandes d&#039;informations et de propositions de contrats.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 600px; height: 1130px;\" title=\"\" src=\"\/Portals\/0\/Images\/Blog\/2018\/1993_MajorAirlines_UTurn.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nL&#039;ann\u00e9e 1997 a marqu\u00e9 une \u00e9tape importante dans l&#039;avancement de l&#039;industrie du voyage d&#039;affaires et des initiatives de la NBTA. Rien que cette ann\u00e9e-l\u00e0, les entreprises bas\u00e9es aux \u00c9tats-Unis ont d\u00e9pens\u00e9 $175 milliards en voyages d&#039;affaires, y compris les voyages en avion, l&#039;h\u00e9bergement, la location de voitures, l&#039;assistance aux voyageurs et l&#039;administration - un bond \u00e9norme par rapport \u00e0 seulement $70 milliards de d\u00e9penses en 1982.<\/p>\n<p>La NBTA a cr\u00e9\u00e9 sa fondation de recherche et d&#039;\u00e9ducation intitul\u00e9e Institute of Business Travel Management, que nous appelons aujourd&#039;hui la Fondation GBTA. L&#039;une des principales conclusions a montr\u00e9 que les niveaux de salaires des gestionnaires de voyages ont continu\u00e9 \u00e0 atteindre de nouveaux sommets, augmentant en moyenne de 30 % au cours des quatre derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es. Les co\u00fbts du carburant ont \u00e9galement diminu\u00e9 de 18% sur l&#039;ann\u00e9e, permettant aux transporteurs d&#039;\u00e9conomiser environ $2 milliards (BusinessWeek, 1er f\u00e9vrier 1999).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 600px; height: 801px;\" title=\"\" src=\"\/Portals\/0\/Images\/Blog\/2018\/1998_StateoftheProfessionReport.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>En f\u00e9vrier 1999, <em>\u00c9TATS-UNIS AUJOURD&#039;HUI <\/em>a publi\u00e9 un article soulignant le co\u00fbt \u00e9lev\u00e9 des vols de derni\u00e8re minute. En raison du prix \u00e9lev\u00e9, les grandes entreprises se sont tourn\u00e9es vers \u00ab des accords directs avec des compagnies a\u00e9riennes, y compris de petits transporteurs \u00e0 bas prix \u00bb. Les accords garantissaient que les compagnies ach\u00e8teraient un certain nombre de billets en \u00e9change d\u2019un prix r\u00e9duit. (USA TODAY, 23 f\u00e9vrier 1999).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 600px; height: 1518px;\" title=\"\" src=\"\/Portals\/0\/Images\/Blog\/2018\/1999_USATODAYarticle.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Environ un mois plus tard, la NBTA a diffus\u00e9 un communiqu\u00e9 de presse indiquant que les tarifs a\u00e9riens d&#039;affaires record incitaient les entreprises am\u00e9ricaines \u00e0 r\u00e9duire le transport a\u00e9rien et \u00e0 rechercher des alternatives pour compenser les augmentations de tarifs.
