Le plan comprenait des propositions visant \u00e0 privatiser le contr\u00f4le du trafic a\u00e9rien ( ATC), a supprim\u00e9 certains programmes de contr\u00f4le de la TSA et a augment\u00e9 les frais de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des passagers. La d\u00e9claration suivante peut \u00eatre attribu\u00e9e \u00e0 Michael W. McCormick, directeur ex\u00e9cutif et directeur de l&#039;exploitation de la GBTA.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab La GBTA salue les efforts visant \u00e0 moderniser le contr\u00f4le du trafic a\u00e9rien. Les voyages d\u2019affaires sont un moteur \u00e9conomique essentiel aliment\u00e9 par le transport a\u00e9rien. Chaque jour, les entreprises am\u00e9ricaines et leurs employ\u00e9s d\u00e9pendent de voyages a\u00e9riens efficaces et s\u00fbrs pour des rencontres en face-\u00e0-face inestimables avec leurs clients, partenaires et coll\u00e8gues. Ces r\u00e9unions g\u00e9n\u00e8rent des profits, une expansion et des emplois. La modernisation du syst\u00e8me de contr\u00f4le du trafic a\u00e9rien de notre pays r\u00e9duira les retards et les annulations de vols, augmentera la capacit\u00e9 des a\u00e9roports et am\u00e9liorera la s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Une r\u00e9forme efficace doit inclure toutes les parties prenantes, et la GBTA se r\u00e9jouit de travailler avec les compagnies a\u00e9riennes, les a\u00e9roports et le Congr\u00e8s vers l\u2019objectif commun d\u2019un syst\u00e8me de contr\u00f4le du trafic a\u00e9rien efficace et modernis\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Le plan comprenait une augmentation des frais de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des passagers ainsi que des r\u00e9ductions propos\u00e9es dans les programmes de contr\u00f4le de la TSA. M\u00eame si cela augmenterait le pourcentage consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 a\u00e9rienne, il serait excessif de consacrer un montant quelconque \u00e0 la r\u00e9duction du d\u00e9ficit ou \u00e0 d\u2019autres besoins non li\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019industrie du voyage. L\u2019augmentation de ces frais \u00e9quivaut simplement \u00e0 une autre taxe sur les voyageurs et la communaut\u00e9 des voyages d\u2019affaires en subit le plus gros impact. La pr\u00e9occupation ultime de la GBTA est que les taxes et les frais approchent d&#039;un point critique qui poussera \u00e0 terme les voyageurs d&#039;affaires \u00e0 rester chez eux. Des investissements plus importants dans la technologie de contr\u00f4le et les programmes pour voyageurs fiables tels que PreCheck et Global Entry sont des investissements rentables qui facilitent le voyage, augmentent la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et r\u00e9duisent les co\u00fbts en concentrant les ressources de mani\u00e8re plus pr\u00e9cise.<\/p>\n<p>Il ne fait aucun doute que les voyages d\u2019affaires sont essentiels \u00e0 notre \u00e9conomie : chaque augmentation de 1 % des d\u00e9penses li\u00e9es aux voyages d\u2019affaires cr\u00e9e 71 000 emplois suppl\u00e9mentaires, soit pr\u00e8s de $5 milliards de PIB et $3 milliards de salaires.
