La GBTA a publi\u00e9 une lettre au comit\u00e9 des transports et des infrastructures de la Chambre en faveur du HR 302.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab La GBTA est heureuse que le Congr\u00e8s ait \u00e9labor\u00e9 un projet de loi bipartite de r\u00e9autorisation de la FAA \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Michael W. McCormick, directeur ex\u00e9cutif et directeur de l&#039;exploitation de la GBTA. \u00ab La GBTA soutient le plan quinquennal visant \u00e0 investir dans le syst\u00e8me de contr\u00f4le du trafic a\u00e9rien du pays \u2013 le transport a\u00e9rien est trop important pour les voyageurs d&#039;affaires du pays et pour notre \u00e9conomie pour laisser cela attendre plus longtemps. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>La GBTA soutient depuis longtemps les efforts visant \u00e0 augmenter les inscriptions \u00e0 PreCheck. Les mesures incluses dans ce projet de loi pour y parvenir sont essentielles et, plus important encore, le projet de loi confirme \u00e0 nouveau que seuls les passagers pr\u00e9s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s inscrits \u00e0 PreCheck devraient utiliser les voies de contr\u00f4le acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;PreCheck est une victoire pour tous les passagers, conduisant \u00e0 une satisfaction accrue des voyageurs et \u00e0 une s\u00e9curit\u00e9 globale. La poursuite de ces efforts dans le projet de loi de r\u00e9autorisation am\u00e9liorera la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du transport a\u00e9rien et augmentera les voyages d&#039;affaires, qui stimulent l&#039;\u00e9conomie globale&quot;, a ajout\u00e9 McCormick.<\/p>\n<p>La GBTA est \u00e9galement heureuse de voir un texte interdisant les appels vocaux dans les avions. Pour les voyageurs d\u2019affaires, le silence est parfois d\u2019or. Outre le risque de perturbations et de perte de productivit\u00e9, permettre aux passagers de passer des appels t\u00e9l\u00e9phoniques \u00e0 bord des avions pr\u00e9sente une menace pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>La GBTA est soulag\u00e9e qu&#039;il n&#039;y ait pas d&#039;augmentation de la taxe sur les services aux passagers (PFC), qui est une taxe sur les voyageurs a\u00e9riens, et qui aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 ressentie par tous les passagers d&#039;affaires et de loisirs qui ach\u00e8tent un billet d&#039;avion.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Pour le voyageur d&#039;affaires, le PFC est essentiellement une taxe sur le co\u00fbt des affaires, et l&#039;argent d\u00e9pens\u00e9 en taxes et frais est de l&#039;argent qui n&#039;est pas d\u00e9pens\u00e9 pour soutenir la croissance \u00e9conomique et la cr\u00e9ation d&#039;emplois \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 McCormick. \u00abNous comprenons cependant l&#039;importance de trouver un \u00e9quilibre entre les besoins d&#039;am\u00e9lioration de la facilitation des passagers et les infrastructures dont les co\u00fbts augmentent.
