The 2021 Collaboratory series “… The Road to Convention” is designed to provide perspectives, best practices, expert insight, and actionable takeaways related to top themes we can address now and further explore at GBTA’s Annual Convention 2021, November 17th-19th. Attendees of the series will experience strategic, informative, and solution-focused dialogue between panelists made up of business leaders, GBTA volunteers, sponsors, and industry experts. Join us to hear Convention updates and from various experts on the important topic of sustainability. The sessions will feature significant strides being made in sustainability and the on-going challenges for the travel industry in this space. The two-hour program will conclude with a buyer discussion centered about the best practices in their corporate travel program and wrap-up with a teaser of Convention education in Orlando on sustainability.

Sustainable Aviation Fuel: Decarbonizing Air Travel | 10:00 - 10:30

GBTA and Shell have joined forces to accelerate the efforts towards the aviation industry’s net zero goals. Join us to discover the various ways available to decarbonize corporate air travel – specifically why Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is the most viable near term solution. Learn more about how SAF has the potential to cut emissions by up to 80% (when compared to conventional fuel) and why is it currently in short supply.
