Representatives from Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA)’s Airport Affairs Group\, Dae Levine and Jessica Merritt\, will discuss the $30+ billion Capital Improvement Program underway at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) that is modernizing every aspect of the airport’s campus. Key to this transformation is the new Automated People Mover (APM)\, a vital piece of infrastructure that will seamlessly connect guests to LAX’s terminals\, a new Consolidated Rent-A-Car facility\, L.A. Metro\, ride-hailing services and more. Soaring over traffic\, LAX’s APM is a testament to L.A.’s progress\, providing exceptional infrastructure\, efficiency and convenience for Angelinos and the world. Join Dae and Jessica to hear more about the AMP\, LAX’s forthcoming Terminal 9 and Concourse 0 and other projects that are a part of one of the globe’s most ambitious airport programs. In addition\, Jason Pantages\, Federal Security Director at LAX\, will discus new safety and security features such as cutting edge computed topography and wave body scanning at checkpoints. Immediately following the lunch program\, participants will get to see LAX’s aircraft and operations up close as well as behind-the-scenes views of the airport’s $30+ billion modernization. The 90-minute tour will conclude at Wally Park with a private reception. This tour will only be available for 23 participants\, with priority given to GBTA Los Angeles members. You must register by January 2nd at 5:00 pm to be eligible for this opportunity. LAWA will then email a registration link to the 23 participants.
