Nela estava inclu\u00edda uma proposta para aumentar a taxa de seguran\u00e7a da avia\u00e7\u00e3o do 11 de Setembro em um d\u00f3lar, apesar do facto de uma parte dos fundos actualmente a ser recolhidos estar a ser desviada para a redu\u00e7\u00e3o do d\u00e9fice geral.<\/p>\n<p>A taxa est\u00e1 atualmente limitada a $5,60 por viagem s\u00f3 de ida. Esses fundos s\u00e3o arrecadados para apoiar a Administra\u00e7\u00e3o de Seguran\u00e7a de Transporte (TSA) e suas medidas de seguran\u00e7a aeroportu\u00e1ria. Contudo, em 2013, o Congresso come\u00e7ou a desviar um ter\u00e7o das receitas arrecadadas das taxas de seguran\u00e7a dos passageiros das companhias a\u00e9reas para pagar o d\u00e9fice geral. No Ano Fiscal (Ano Fiscal) de 2019, $1,36 mil milh\u00f5es ser\u00e3o desviados da seguran\u00e7a da avia\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Antes de dar seguimento ao pedido da Administra\u00e7\u00e3o e aumentar esta taxa para os viajantes, devem ser tomadas medidas para garantir que todo o dinheiro seja utilizado para o prop\u00f3sito pretendido de financiar a TSA.<\/p>\n<p>O Congresso introduziu legisla\u00e7\u00e3o bipartid\u00e1ria que faz isso e acaba imediatamente com este desvio.<\/p>\n<p>A seguran\u00e7a da avia\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 demasiado importante para desviarmos os fundos necess\u00e1rios. Sem a Lei FASTER em vigor, n\u00e3o podemos aceitar outro aumento de taxas.
