Can Airlines Really Halve Its Emissions? Here's How Science Says It's Possible

Aviation is often described as one of the toughest sectors to decarbonise, but new research suggests that large emission cuts are possible almost immediately.

A recent study showed that global aviation emissions could be reduced by 50 to 75 per cent by improving efficiency in how airlines use aircraft, configure seating and fill seats, without cutting the number of flights.
