Good for Business: Why More Airlines Should Embrace Free WiFi

The passenger experience is among the most important factors considered when an individual decides which carrier to fly on, a factor that is strongly tied to the amenities offered onboard the aircraft. The most basic way to realize this concept is by examining the dichotomy between budget airlines and full-service network carriers.

In the event that tickets are identical in price between, say, New York and Fort Lauderdale on Spirit Airlines and United, passengers will almost always choose to fly the legacy carrier. The passenger experience of having more legroom, free snacks and drinks, and other amenities will naturally motivate this choice.
