Iran War Ceasefire Is Positive for Airlines, IATA’s Walsh Says

The two-week ceasefire between the US and Iran is "positive” for the aviation industry, but jet fuel and ticket prices will remain elevated for some time, said Willie Walsh, the head of the airline industry’s global trade body.

"Even two weeks is a positive because we will see some flow of oil return,” Walsh, who will take over as chief executive officer of Indian budget carrier IndiGo later this year, said in an interview with Bloomberg Television.

GBTA has released updated Global Hotel RFP Standards to simplify corporate hotel sourcing and align with GBTA’s Sustainable Procurement Standards (People + Planet). The update introduces streamlined questions and data formats, incorporates sustainability guidance, and establishes an ongoing feedback process to support future improvements across the industry. 

Industry participants are encouraged to get involved by downloading the standards, applying to the regional  Accommodations Committee, and submitting feedback to help shape future enhancements.
