Business travel is back in full force following an expected dip during the pandemic. Corporate travel budgets are returning to pre-pandemic levels, and more companies are planning budget expansions. A Morgan Stanley survey revealed that over two-thirds of companies with under $1 billion in annual revenue anticipated increased travel budgets in the coming year.

Jennifer Houdyshell
Director of Sales
Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Brookfield Conference Center

First and foremost, Jennifer Houdyshell takes pride in her family, she has been married to Tony for 27 years and has 2 amazing sons - Jared (24) who is working at Greenfield Middle School as a Paraprofessional and Aiden (16) who is a sophomore and loves all things baseball - especially since he has been playing from the time he turned 8 - yes she is a true Baseball Mom.

Hospitality and Travel have always been a part of Jennifer. It started after she visited Disney at 5 years old. From there she attended Mercyhurst University for Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management with a minor in accounting. Currently, Jennifer is the Director of Sales for the Award-Winning Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Brookfield Conference Center Hotel in Brookfield, Wisconsin. The most enjoyable part of her job is meeting new clients and being able to have them look good to their clients, managers, and attendees. There is never a day that goes by that is the same as the previous one, making this career truly exciting.

Jennifer has been an active member of GBTA | Wisconsin since 2002. During this time, she has been the Finance Committee Chair, Treasurer, Vice President, President and is now serving as Chairperson through 2025. Handing out scholarship money to members and their children as well as attending GBTA's Legislative Summit; where she was able to become the "voice" of the travel industry while learning what as day in the life of a lobbyist is like (it's exhausting - don't wear heels!); have been a few of the most exciting highlights. She has seen the evolution from WBTA to GBTA | Wisconsin and has seen the change from NBTA to GBTA - national to global!

Jennifer remains in awe of how much can be learned when travel brings us together.
