Amazon Internet Outages Impact Travel Industry

Amazon says its systems are mostly back online as of Monday afternoon following a widespread outage of cloud services at Amazon Web Services (AWS), a disruption that brought down thousands of websites and online platforms, including within the travel industry.

The return of service was reported late Monday afternoon by CNN in an article that predicted the global outage could end up costing hundreds of billions of dollars.
