Companies Urge European Commission to Publish MDMS Regulation by Year-End

GBTA has helped to facilitate a letter from more than 70+ companies sent to the European Commission calling for the publication of the Multimodal Digital Mobility Services (MDMS) regulation by the end of this year. The MDMS regulation ─ intended to make it easier to ticket and book trips that connect air and rail services ─ was initially planned for June 2023 and continues to be delayed.

Many multinational companies are committed to sustainability and reducing their business travel emissions. To help companies achieve this goal, improvements to multi-modal and cross-border ticketing are needed. The letter calls for The European Commission to legislate easier booking of multi-modal transport journeys and publish by the end of 2023 its proposal for MDMS Regulation.
