Venturing across the pond? There are some new pre-departure arrangements you must make. Everyone understands the special relationship between the US and the UK, but Americans are now facing changes in UK immigration. These shifts are part of a wider upheaval and redesign of the country’s handling of short-stay visitors; Americans aren’t the only nation impacted. However, while US citizens could previously enjoy most trips to the UK entirely visa-free — that’s no longer quite as simple.

GBTA Foundation WINiT Summit and Gala Highlight Progress, Research and Recognition Across the Business Travel Industry

The GBTA Foundation hosted its 2025 WINiT (“Women in Travel”) Summit and Gala yesterday at Civic Hall in New York City, bringing together leaders and advocates from across the business travel industry under the theme “The Power of Possibility.” The annual event, now in its 11th year, featured thought-provoking discussions on leadership, mentorship and workplace culture, as well as the unveiling of new Foundation research with WINiT partner Corporate Travel Management. Examining ongoing barriers to women’s advancement in business travel, findings from the “Breaking Boundaries” report revealed persistent gender gaps in leadership representation, work-life balance and safety, underscoring the continued need for development programs and inclusive policies to create lasting change.

The evening’s WINiT Gala and Awards Ceremony recognized individuals and organizations driving progress across the sector, including the 2025 honorees:
