2024 GBTA WINiT Summit and Gala Illuminates the Journey Forward for Women in Business Travel

Career development and advancement for women in the business travel industry was at the forefront as GBTA WINiT celebrated its 10th anniversary yesterday during its annual Summit, Awards Ceremony and Gala held at the TWA Hotel in New York. The events brought together industry professionals for a day of education, collaboration and recognition focused on addressing the challenges and successes women face in the global business travel sector.

With a 2024 theme of “Journey Forward,” the Summit also included the announcement of the “GBTA WINiT Path to Gender Parity: Advocating for 50/50 Leadership by 2035,” initiatives and that GBTA is now a signatory of the United Nation’s Women Empowerment Principles (WEP), which offers guidance to businesses on how to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment.

The GBTA Foundation also shared new research on how women are shaping the future of business travel, shedding light on the growing influence of women industry professionals while also underscoring the impact of women as business travelers.
