Sustainability continues to rise in prominence in the business world, increasing the spotlight on sustainable travel practices. According to a recent Gartner survey, CEOs say that environmental and social changes are a top-three priority for investors, and CEOs consider sustainability a competitive differentiator.

Gartner has also found that investing in sustainable business practices can help protect companies from economic and political disruptions. One of the top operations-related costs being mitigated through sustainability programs is business travel.

Amanda Mahan

Amanda Mahan is an accomplished travel industry veteran, primarily focused on corporate travel and account management. She currently holds the position as a Senior National Account Manager for Southwest Airlines. Amanda has a passion for creating and managing mutually beneficial partnerships with companies in the greater Philadelphia region.

Her enthusiasm for the travel industry is showcased in her role as President of GBTA Philadelphia, where she volunteers her time and is currently serving her second term working with travel buyers and suppliers to better understand new and emerging travel management practices and ways to improve the travel industry through advocacy. She participates in GBTA Ladders and now serves as an Alumni Advisor and Committee Member. Amanda earned her Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management at the Pennsylvania State University. She enjoys reading, hiking and of course traveling.
