GBTA Statement on Violence at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport
Alexandria, VA (March 23, 2015) – On March 20, a man attacked TSA agents with a machete and insecticide spray at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. “The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) thanks the Transportation Security Officers and Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office for responding quickly to the violence that took place at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport on Friday night. All travelers rely on our Transportation Security Administration to keep them safe, and Friday night underscores the danger these men and women face while keeping travelers out of harm’s way.”
