GBTA Introduces Corporate Travel Team Program for Convention 2015

Innovative New Program Provides More Travel Buyers with Convention Experience

Alexandria, VA (May 5, 2015) —The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA)—the voice of the global business travel industry— today announced a new initiative for GBTA Convention 2015 called the Corporate Travel Team Program designed to give more buyers the opportunity to experience Convention.

The Corporate Travel Team Program provides unlimited complimentary buyer member registrations after five buyer members from the same company register at the standard rate. Other program perks include one reserved table for one day during the Convention Arena luncheon and one reserved meeting room for one day of team meetings. In addition, program participants will also have the opportunity to receive complimentary registrations for other members of their corporate travel team such as human resources and/or risk and security professionals within their organization.

“As business travel becomes increasingly global, travel management teams are now dispersed across the world,” said Michael W. McCormick, GBTA Executive Director and COO. “The GBTA Convention 2015 Corporate Travel Team Program provides a global meeting place for travel managers and an opportunity for them to bring their extended travel team to the largest annual gathering of business travel professionals for networking, industry-leading education and top-notch speakers.”

In post-Convention attendee surveys, GBTA buyer members consistently say they value their time and experience at GBTA Convention, and in the spirit of #Sharing – this year’s Convention theme – GBTA is offering this program for companies to share that experience with their entire travel team.

The 2015 Convention theme, #Sharing, aptly describes today’s business travel environment. There is no other industry where face to face meetings and the concept of sharing is more prevalent than the business travel industry. At Convention, the industry will come together as nearly 7,000 industry professionals will share in a transformative experience. Held at the Orange County Convention Center, GBTA Convention 2015 will bring you world-class keynote speakers, more than 80 industry-leading education sessions, the largest business travel expo floor, a wide selection of professional development opportunities and much more providing attendees the opportunity to build their careers and get business done.

Attendee registration is open now. Register by June 1, 2015 to receive $100 in savings. Learn more about registering your organization for the Corporate Travel Team Program.
