GBTA Foundation’s Project ICARUS Opens Call for Nominations for 2016 European Sustainability Outstanding Achievement Awards

Awards Recognize Outstanding Achievements in Furthering Sustainability in Business Travel & Meetings

Alexandria, VA (20 June 2016) —GBTA Foundation’s Project ICARUS announces the call for nominations and applications is now open for the annual Outstanding Achievement Awards for Sustainability in business travel and meetings across Europe.

Through these awards, GBTA Foundation looks to recognize travel buyers, suppliers, intermediaries, individuals and groups who can demonstrate outstanding leadership, innovation and commitment to delivering best in class sustainability programs, products and services across the region.

“Increasingly, companies are building responsible travel management best practices into their business travel and meetings programs,” said Bernard Harrop, head of sustainability for Project ICARUS. “We look forward to once again recognizing companies and individuals that have made an outstanding contribution to the drive for greater sustainability in our industry.”

Recipients will be announced and presented with a specially commissioned bronze Project ICARUS award at GBTA Conference 2016 in partnership with VDR at The Forum in Frankfurt, Germany on 14 – 16 November 2016.

The closing date for applications is 3 October 2016.
