THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
NON-PERSONAL INFORMATION
For technical improvements: As a general matter, each time a visitor uses this website, the website hosting company’s server collects basic technical information automatically, such as the visitor’s IP address, browser type and operating system, referring domain, clickstream data (e.g., pages viewed and time spent), and access times. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, we call this type of information, which does not allow us to contact you directly online or offline, Non-Personal Information. We use this information to understand and analyze trends, administer the site, learn about user behavior on the site, and gather demographic information about our users as a whole.
For user and member improvements: We also receive information about you when you interact with and use certain features on our websites and applications. For example, when you participate in GBTA Hub, we know when you click on ads, upload contacts, download reports, watch webinars, join groups, participate in polls or surveys, and share articles and information through the site. In addition, we may collect Non-Personal Information voluntarily provided by you, such as your company name, occupation, and language, so that we can better serve you and improve our services. We may combine Non-Personal Information with Personal Information, in which event the combined information will be treated as Personal Information for as long as it remains combined.
For advertisers: We may allow third parties to advertise their products and services on our site and within GBTA applications, and third-party advertisers and advertising networks may also collect certain information about you, as described below.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Demographic information: We may collect Personal Information voluntarily provided by you, such as your first name, last name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number, fax number, date of birth, credit card information, food allergies, health conditions, username, and/or password, in connection with your use of this website, and other GBTA applications, and their respective features. The information requested depends on the feature offered and application used.
Voluntary user and member interaction: Certain features on our websites and applications, such as GBTA Hub, enable you to communicate and connect with other users, members, and supporters. Any Personal Information you choose to provide in community areas can be read, collected, or used by other users and third parties, and could be used to send you communications, including offers for products or services. We are not responsible for the information you choose to submit. Your participation in these features and your sharing of your Personal Information and other profile information with us and other users constitutes your agreement to such sharing.

Internet security is not failsafe: Users are warned, however, that the Internet is not a 100% secure medium, and we do not guarantee that our security and privacy measures are failsafe. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your password and account information.
Voluntary information sharing: In addition, when you use certain services or applications, or post on a forum, chat room, or social networking service on this site or other GBTA sites and applications, the Personal Information you share may be visible to other users and can be read, collected, or used by them. We are not responsible for any such Personal Information that you choose to submit.

COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES
We deploy use of Cookies to improve our services: Some of the pages on this website use “cookies,” which are identifiers that a website places on your computer’s hard drive to facilitate the interaction between your computer and the website. Different types of cookies, such as session, persistent, or flash cookies, may be used for different functions. The GBTA Entities and our third party service providers (including analytics and advertising service providers) may place cookies on your hard drive or use other technologies, such as tags and clear GIFS, sometimes called web beacons, on web page and e-mails to facilitate site navigation, personalize your experience, remember your information when you use our website and services, offer you relevant products and services, serve ads for GBTA Entities and third party products and services, and track users across other websites. Information collected through cookies and other technologies may include your IP address, browsing activity (e.g., pages viewed), search engine referrals, and responses to advertisements and promotions on this site and websites where we advertise.
You can remove or block GBTA cookies: Most web browsers allow you to set preferences about cookies you wish to accept. Consult your own browser settings and follow the instructions to control cookies on your device. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this site may then be inaccessible or not function properly. Note, however, that flash cookies cannot be controlled via your browser settings in the same way that other cookies can.
ONLINE BEHAVIORAL ADVERTISING
Our advertisers may deploy ad tracking technologies: As explained above, our third-party service providers may use cookies, tags, and other technologies to collect and use information about your visits to our website and other websites for purposes of serving ads likely to be of interest to you, including ads for our products or services. The information shared does not include your personal contact details.
You can control ad delivery: You can also manage your choices about receiving ads from participating third parties and learn more about ad cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) website. Please note, however, that not all service providers participate in the NAI. In addition, if you opt-out, you may still receive online advertising from us, but the ads you do receive may be less relevant to you. If you delete or block cookies, buy a new computer, access the sites from a different computer, login under a different screen name, or change web browsers, you will need to opt-out again.
External ad networks unrelated to GBTA: In some cases, we and advertisers on this website and other sites may work with other third-party vendors to help deliver advertisements tailored to your interests. These vendors include ad networks and audience segment providers, and they place cookies on your browser to collect information about your online activity (e.g., the sites and pages you have visited) in order to help advertisers deliver particular ads on our site and other sites that they believe you would find most relevant. You can opt-out of those vendors’ use of cookies to tailor advertising.
Our advertisers may contract with a third-party service to host their ads, in which case an ad serving vendor contacts the advertisers’ hosting service for a particular advertisement. An independent cookie may be used by the third-party service, but we do not have a mechanism to allow visitors to opt-out of cookies from vendors with whom we do not have a contractual relationship.
Changes to Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time without notice; provided, however, that we will not retroactively change how we share your Personal Information, as defined in this policy, without your consent. Please check back periodically for any changes we may make to this privacy policy, as your continued use of this website following the posting of any changes means that you accept such changes.
