GBTA Announces First-Ever GBTA Convention 2015 Media Day

Alexandria, VA (April 9, 2015) – The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) today announced the organization’s first-ever GBTA Convention 2015 Media Day to be held Sunday, July 26. This kick-off event will feature back-to-back news announcements throughout the morning from top travel companies around the world.

“We are excited to be able to offer media an exclusive pass to the latest industry news at GBTA Convention 2015. Business travel is vital to the health of our economy, and these announcements will set the stage for our industry during the remainder of 2015 and as we head into 2016,” said Michael W. McCormick, GBTA executive director and COO. “We invite all journalists to join us on Sunday.”

Attending media will be able to gain in-person access to breaking travel news and important industry updates. News briefings will begin at 9 a.m. on July 26 — each company briefing will last 15 minutes.

GBTA’s annual convention taking place in Orlando, Fla., this year is the largest, most comprehensive annual gathering of business travel and meetings managers, meeting planners, procurement professionals and suppliers anywhere in the world. The 2015 Convention theme, #Sharing, aptly describes today’s business travel environment. There is no other industry where face to face meetings and the concept of sharing is more prevalent than the business travel industry.

Media registration is complimentary and available online.
