GBTA Announces New Initiative: The Masters List
List to Recognize Most Engaged Buyer Members
ALEXANDRIA, VA – May 12, 2015 – The GBTA Foundation, the education and research arm of the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) announced a new initiative at its Annual Gala in New York City yesterday called The Masters List. The Masters List will recognize the most engaged, most committed, most connected and most involved GBTA Direct Members from around the globe.
“The Masters List buyers are movers, shakers, opinion leaders and passionate advocates,” said Michael W. McCormick, GBTA Executive Director and COO. “They are tirelessly driven to create, build and innovate, all in an effort to further advance our industry. The Masters List buyers are world-leading practitioners with expertise in duty of care, supplier management, technology, sustainability, meetings management and more. Although this recognition program is not about how much companies spend, together these buyers directly manage billions of dollars in business travel spend, and influence so much more.”
The Masters List will be unveiled this fall, and the members will be recognized during a new Masters Event and Gala Dinner next spring.
Members named to The Masters List are leaders in the business travel industry helping to create the future of the business travel world. The Masters List buyer demonstrates their industry leadership through their active roles on GBTA Committees, attainment of the GTP Certification, speaking at GBTA Convention education sessions and serving on the board of their GBTA Chapter or GBTA Region, among other ways.
