In March, we looked back on GBTA’s 25th anniversary. Today we go back to Orlando when GBTA – still the National Business Travel Association at the time – celebrated its 30th anniversary. Here are some shots from the set up for the NBTA Convention in 1998.
As we continue our march to GBTA Convention 2018 this August in San Diego where we will celebrate 50 years of GBTA, we make time to look back and reflect on our past and how we got to where we are today. Twenty-five years ago, still known as the National Business Travel Association, this video was created celebrating a quarter century in existence.
Throughout our 49 years of hosting Convention, our attendees have walked away with thousands of memories. In honor of our upcoming 50th anniversary, we’re on a mission to collect as many as we can!
Looking back on the nineties, a few things come to mind: wearing slap bracelets and block-heeled shoes, religiously watching The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and even handpicking VHS tapes at Blockbuster – the ‘90s were truly a glorious time.
In 2008, GBTA – then known as the National Business Travel Association (NBTA) – teamed up with The New Yorker to show off the lighter side of business travel.
