SAP Concur continues to build its roster of airline partners’ NDC content on the new Concur Travel

The shift to NDC continues to gain momentum. SAP Concur recently found that 36% of business travel managers felt airlines not sharing full content through traditional channels would make their job a challenge. This is where companies like SAP Concur and its growing roster of NDC content partners are helping by providing that content in a simple and accessible way.

SAP Concur is proud to already have numerous airlines using the new Concur Travel to offer NDC content. These include Air France, KLM, American Airlines, and United Airlines, with another two on the imminent horizon.

The company has been hard at work rolling out its ongoing NDC roadmap for the new Concur Travel. It started in 2021 when it became the first corporate online booking tool (OBT) to offer customers NDC content. The rollout will continue for the remainder of Q4, with Iberia and British Airways as the next airline carriers that will go live in 2024.

The partnerships mean that new Concur Travel customers and their travel management companies (TMCs) can avoid any additional charges from the Global Distribution System (GDS) and access the most competitive fares and exclusive ancillary services the partner airline carriers offer.

Paul Dear, Regional Vice President – Supplier Services EMEA at SAP Concur, commented: “We are continuing to take feedback from clients and our TMC partners regarding the new Concur

Travel. We’ve made hundreds of enhancements and refinements in the last 12 months and our innovation continues at pace. Most recently, we announced that Ryanair content is now available to Concur Travel customers via direct connection integration.”

“Between GDS, direct connect and TripLink, we continue to give customers the tools they need to obtain the content they want, wherever they want. NDC is a part of that, and we are rapidly growing the number of airlines on our NDC content base to continue to offer more flexible options to our customers.”

NDC is a standard introduced to enhance communication between airlines and travel agents. It enables airlines to share content and sell their services directly, without the need for a GDS.

The managed travel ecosystem is complex and varied, with a wide range of customer demands. That’s why SAP Concur gives its customers flexibility of TMC, GDS, and over 700 partners to meet their needs. Offering NDC content through the intuitive new Concur Travel is an additional route.
