Alexandria, VA (February 22, 2021) – The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), the world’s largest business travel association, is thrilled to announce that based on a new partnership and significant financial commitment from a global supplier partner who requests anonymity, the Association will be able to strengthen its Academy offerings and relaunch scholarships. The new scholarship program is designed to make education accessible for hundreds of members by offering financial assistance. As a result, GBTA members will have increased access to valuable education opportunities during this challenging time in our industry due to the pandemic.

“We are thrilled to be able to invest more in the GBTA Academy and the delivery of educational programs. The need to help our industry colleagues progress in their career, as well as to attract new talent to the industry has never been more critical,” said Dawn Repoli, GBTA’s Director of Training and Professional Development. “The scholarship program is a valuable opportunity for those seeking to enrich their learning and career advancement, to help build a solid foundation for the next industry leaders and play a part in the industry rebound from this pandemic.”

The GBTA professional development program is designed specifically for the business travel industry, to build knowledge, recognition and advancement in the profession.
