GBTA Foundation Honors GLP Designation Recipients
Alexandria, VA (July 29, 2016) – The GBTA Foundation – the education and research arm of the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) – awarded 21 recipients with the prestigious GLP Designation during GBTA Convention 2016 last week in Denver.
The Global Leadership Professional® designation (GLP) was created to acknowledge business travel professionals who had completed the GLP Program, received their Certificate of Professional Development, and then applied that knowledge to help further the industry through a related group project. The GLP program provides essential business knowledge in the major business disciplines of leadership, finance, marketing and management.
This program provides corporate travel professionals an opportunity to utilize the various skills, knowledge and expertise they have gained during the GLP program, put it to practical use and then in turn share that knowledge with their peers in an effort to help better the travel industry.
“The GBTA Foundation is extremely proud to welcome these 21 individuals to an exclusive club of GLP designees,” said Doug Anderson, Chair of the GBTA Foundation Board. “Through this program, these newest GLP designees learned to practice creative leadership techniques, studied the impact of decisions on financial performance, developed better decision-making skills and learned techniques for achieving strategic advantage.”
