To promote global awareness of the challenges people face in the workplace and while traveling, attending meetings, or managing travel needs.

The committee provides resources, education, and support to help the travel industry build environments where people feel respected, supported, and able to do their best work, regardless of background, identity, ability, or life experiences.

  • Collect, maintain, and share insights related to workplace culture, access, and employee experience across the travel industry.
  • Collaborate with and support GBTA members and global committees to address real-world challenges impacting people at work and on the road.
  • Provide practical resources, guidance, and expertise to help organizations create policies, systems, and practices that work for a wide range of people.
  • Educate and promote best practices in support fairness, accessibility, belonging, and sustainable workplace cultures.

Applications to serve on a Committee are accepted year-round and open to any GBTA member. Members serve 2-year terms running from Convention to Convention. Each Committee will be in contact shortly after an application is received. Based on the application, the Committee may either conduct an interview, hold the application or decline the applicant. Committees must maintain a 51% Direct Member and 49% Allied Member ratio. Fill out the committee application form below.
