Delta Air Lines Improves Economy Service
Delta Air Lines is improving its economy service on international flights.

Airlines have long been criticized for dialing down their service. But on Delta, passengers will now be welcomed by a purser or lead flight attendant. They will get a personal greeting. And shortly after departure, they will get a welcome cocktail, a Bellini made with sparkling wine and infused peach puree.

They will then receive hot towel service.

They will receive a “bistro-style” meal with upgraded appetizers and entrees. Their meals will arrive on placemats with upgraded cutlery and custom-designed dinnerware. Larger entrees will feature dishes such as harissa shrimp. Dessert will be served separately and include free coffee, tea, wine or water.

OYO Hotels expands to Vietnam
OYO Hotels & Homes has moved into Vietnam. The company now has 90 franchised hotels across six cities in the country, India Post reports.

The cities include Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Da Nang and Nha Trang.

The company plans to have a presence in 10 cities by 2020. It will also invest $50 million in the country in the next few years.

“We aim to grow to 10 cities and 20,000 rooms by 2020-end while becoming a household name for both local and international travellers in Vietnam,” said Dushyant Dwibedy, country head of OYO Vietnam, according to the Post.

JetBlue switches Houston airports
This fall, JetBlue will shake up its Houston operations.

Starting in October, it will move its Houston operations from William P. Hobby Airport to George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Final Hobby flights from Boston and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport will depart on Oct. 26. Flights from Bush Intercontinental will begin on Oct. 27. Customers booked on Hobby flights on Oct. 27 or later will be rebooked automatically. They are eligible for refunds if they choose.
