Dear GBTA Members,
Given this afternoon’s announcement that the U.S. will join other countries in grounding Boeing 737 MAX aircrafts, GBTA recognizes that many of our members are looking for information and answers. First, I want to express my sincere sympathies to the families and friends of those who were on board Ethiopian Airlines flight 302.
Safety is always the top priority. GBTA has complete confidence in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and will work to communicate information from the FAA to you as it is available. You can find the latest statement from the FAA here and also follow them on Twitter for the most up-to-date information.
As authorities across the globe have grounded planes, we are seeing immediate travel disruption. We will continue to follow these announcements closely to assess the business travel impact and will keep you apprised as we learn more.
As we monitor best practices, we always appreciate member feedback, so please feel free to share with us any company communications you are distributing on this. Stay tuned to our Daily News Brief and GBTA’s social channels for the latest news as the investigation continues to unfold.
Best regards,
Christle Johnson
GBTA President
